چکیده
Summary Introduction: Drought stress is known to change biochemical activities resulting in altered plant growth and development. Objective: Due the shortage of research evidence a certain taxa basil, it imperative examine relationship between drought morphological changes as well essential oil accumulation. Methods: An open field experiment was conducted 2020 determine effects on responses selected Ocimum species. Five basil species, namely O. basilicum ‘Genovese’, ‘Ohre’, × africanum , americanum selloi sanctum ‘Krishna’ were grown under irrigated (control) non-irrigated (drought treatment) plots with two block replications. Results: The result showed that irrigation had positive effect production. Consequently, fresh dry biomass yields higher by 39% 33%, respectively. No significant detected treatments oils (EO) yield EO composition major compounds. However, slight increase camphor ( ), nerol trans- β -caryophyllene ‘Krishna’) ratios observed treatments. On other hand, increased content, polyphenol antioxidant capacity. Furthermore, 1,8-cineole eugenol ‘Krishna’). There only content stress, which not comparable reduction recorded. Morphological variations also among Accordingly, (616.33 g/plant) (3.72 ml/100 g) species obtained from ‘Genovese’ Conclusion: Irrigation for maximizing tested

Physiological and Morphological Responses of Almond Cultivars under In Vitro Drought Stress
In this study, physiological and morphological responses of five almond cultivars to drought stress were investigated under in vitro conditions. Plantlets from five commercial almond cultivars (Supernova’, ‘Tuono’, ‘Sahand’, ‘Ferragnes ’ and ‘Shahroud 21’] were established in MS medium containing 0.5 mg per liter BAP and then subcultured in MS proliferation medium containing 1 mg per liter BAP...
متن کاملMorphological and Biochemical Responses of Basil Plant Under Ultraviolet Radiation-B and Deficit Irrigation Under Greenhouse Conditions
Environmental stresses such as deficit irrigation and ultraviolet radiation can influence plant growth and development. Among the environmental variables, ultraviolet radiation is an important factor in plant response to other stresses, such as deficit irrigation. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of ultraviolet B radiation (UV-B), irrigation stress and combined effects o...
متن کاملPhysio-biochemical and Enzymatic Responses of Sunflower to Drought Stress
Drought stress is a serious adverse factor that limits sunflower growth and productivity. The stress induces a range of physiological and biochemical responses in sunflower. So, evaluation of defense systems is important for producing resistant cultivars. In this study, physio-biochemical changes and antioxidant enzymes activitiesof six sunflower lines were evaluated under normal and irrigation...

The purpose of this study was to investigate the response of physicochemical properties of gerbera (Gerbera Jamesonii L.) to silica nanoparticles (Nanoparticle-SiO2) and calcium chelate (Ca-Chelate) in nutrient solutions. A factorial experiment based on completely randomized design with two factors was conducted in four replicates. The first factor the concentration of Nanoparticle-SiO2 in nutr...
متن کاملDifferences in antioxidant, morphological and biochemical responses to drought stress in different cultivars of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.)
Drought stress is the most common environmental stress that can significantly influence crop productivity. In this study, morphological and biochemical properties of 17 genotypes of common bean were evaluated under different levels of drought stress and the most sensitive and tolerant genotypes were identified using multivariate analysis. The results indicated that morphological and biochemical...
